How do I get to Figeac?

Whether you enjoy driving along winding roads or taking in the scenery whilst travelling by train, you’re bound to find the right mode of transport to come and visit us! Think of the planet by choosing to travel by train or car-share whenever possible!

By road

The A20 motorway runs the length of the Lot department. Figeac is 5½ hours from Paris, 3½ hours from Bordeaux and 2½ hours from Toulouse.
If you’re travelling by car, you’ll enjoy watching the scenery gradually change as you make your way through the countryside, before arriving in an incredible sea of greenery!

Travelling in an electric vehicle? You’ll find it easy to access nearby charging points.

BY TRAIN

Follow the tracks!

During the day, the journey from Paris to Figeac by train takes around 6 hours, with a change at Brive-la-Gaillarde.

Figeac is also served bythe overnight Intercités service departing from Paris-Austerlitz, on the Paris–Rodez/Albi line. This is a convenient way to travel overnight and arrive in Figeac first thing the next morning.

Other lines also serve the Greater Figeac area:

  • Brive / Rodez: this line heads south, passing close to Rocamadour, then serves several stations in the Greater Figeac area: Assier, Figeac and Capdenac-Gare.
  • Aurillac / Toulouse: this line serves, amongst others, Bagnac-sur-Célé, Figeac and Capdenac-Gare.
  • SNCF coaches from Figeac to Cahors: this coach service passes through numerous villages in the Lot Valley, including Faycelles, Montbrun and Cajarc. For the more active, it’s also possible to reach Saint-Cirq-Lapopie,listed as one of the Most Beautiful Villages in France: from there, allow around 30 minutes’ walk to reach the heart of the village.

Do you live in Occitanie? Take advantage of the TER train for just €1 on the first weekends of every month! This fare is available outside the summer season, subject to availability. €1 tickets go on sale no earlier than 10 days before the date of travel.

Occitanie Rail Tour Pass

Discover Occitanie in an eco-friendly and cost-effective way with the Occitanie Rail Tour (ORT) Pass. With this pass, enjoy unlimited travel on liO trains for 2 to 6 consecutive days, from €10 per day.
The Pass allows you to travel to and from all stationsin Occitanie. It is also valid for travel to certain neighbouring stations, notably Brive-la-Gaillarde. A wonderful way to explore the region on the move, at the pace of the train.

Prices: from €20 for 2 days to €60 for 6 consecutive days.
