Super Cayrou, a work of art refuge

Super-Cayrou welcomes you on the hill of Pech Laglaire in Gréalou. Close to the GR65, this atypical architectural work is an unmissable curiosity of the Causses du Quercy. On site, a 360° view of breathtaking landscapes is offered to you, from the cliffs of the Célé to the Cantal Mountains, and the promise, after a sublime sunset, of an incredible night under the stars.

An open-air art trail

This dry-stone art-refuge work is the first of the “Windows on the Landscape” open-air art trail on GR 65. Designed by artist-architects from the A Encore-Heureux Collective and Pieter Dijkstra at the invitation of Derrière Le Hublot and the Parc naturel régional des Causses du Quercy, Géoparc Mondial Unesco, Super-Cayrou consists of two caselle dry-stone tents and a terrace to contemplate an exceptional landscape.

A know-how that comes back to life

Built by Vincent Caussanel and his team of dry stone builders, Super-Cayrou revives and reinvents the traditional know-how of lauziers. More than one hundred tons of stone, extracted from the Grèzes micro-quarry, were needed to build it! Corbel seats, roofs of lauzes on corbelled vault, stubborn and sound of stones will have (almost) no more secrets for you!
