The gardens of Grand-Figeac

At the entrance to Cardaillac, this little haven of peace is in itself a concentrate of atypical plants. Between trellises of branches and plessis, we discover medicinal plants and inctorial plants from the Middle Ages, so-called “witches’ plants” to which magical power was attributed! The potager offers a range of plants grown for the preparation of meals in the period: fine vegetables for concocting soups including the authentic haricot de Cardaillac, but also aromatic plants, condiments to accommodate meats. Greenery, water, picnic tables, a petanque court and a furnished play area will delight families and children.

What a pleasure it is to stroll through the incredibly colorful gardens of the Chateau de Larnagol! Here the nature is harmonious with fragrant roses but also a breathtaking panel of flowers, both in the Italian-style garden and the French-style garden. An ornamental garden, a greenhouse and spring-fed ponds make up this green table and offer from one terrace to the next, a perfect beauty. Here time seems to have stopped, we sit peacefully to admire the view, so resourcing, on the Lot valley.
