Our commitments

Our offices and teams are committed and have obtained certain labels in welcoming and responding to tourists. The Quality Tourism mark, the Tourist Office‘s category 1 classification or even sustainable commitments are at the heart of our approaches.

Tourism Quality Mark

The Tourist Office is enrolled in a quality approach with the “Quality Tourism” Mark. As such, it is committed to its visitors, socio-professionals, the community and its team to achieve the following objectives.

All in all, there are between250 and 600 criteria to be met that have been listed by the State, so that this label is a real guarantee of quality for our various “customers”.

The label

Category 1 Tourist Office

We commit to:

  • Comply with the requirements of the Quality mark.
  • Provide you with an easily accessible reception area and information area by offering you furniture to sit on with free access to wifi.
  • Provide you with a stay advisor. Facilitate your steps and inform you free of charge on the local tourist offer by ensuring an annual update and guaranteeing the quality of information.
  • Be open at least 305 days a year Saturday and Sunday included in tourist period or animation.
  • Provide the supply of tourist maps, maps and tourist guides on paper.
  • Present all the qualified offer of its area of intervention for all clienteles.
  • Give you access to the consultation of the availability of classified accommodation.
  • Display and broadcast its opening periods expressed in at least two foreign languages.
  • Provide a permanent reception service held by staff practicing at least two foreign languages.
  • Give you access to its dedicated trilingual website adapted for consultation via embedded media.
  • Provide a tourist information service integrating new information and communication technologies (social networks, mobile telephony, geolocation…).
  • Answer your mail all year round and handle your complaints and measure your satisfaction. Display outside emergency phone numbers.

Our commitment

towards foreign visitors

Disseminate our tourist information, also on paper, translated into at least two foreign languages, relating to: to all classified tourist accommodation including at least the name of the establishment, postal address, email, website address, telephone contact details, the level of classification; to monuments and cultural, natural or leisure tourist sites that may include the indication of the rates of use, periods and times of opening to the public, website and telephone and postal contact details; to events and animations; to emergency telephone numbers.

The Office de Tourisme is committed to a Corporate Social Responsibility approach, with a social part and a sustainable tourism part by being aware of the major issues to reconcile tourism and eco-responsibility.

This CSR approach is collective between the 4 Tourist Offices of the Lot: Grand-Figeac Tourism; Pays de Gourdon; Cahors, Valleys of the Lot; Dordogne Valley and the Tourist Development Agency Lot Tourism.
