Pilgrim transport

Where can I park? How do I get around and transport my luggage?
Figeac
is an unmissable stop on the main route of the Way of St James, the Via Podiensis. Many of you contact us to find suitable transport for yourselves and your luggage, so here’s all the information you need!

Parking

in Figeac

Are you setting off from Figeac, or would you like to pick up a car on your arrival after your journey?

The car park designated for those walking the route over several days is Les Carmes car park, on Avenue des Carmes, just past the MSA. This car park is free and unstaffed.

If you wish to leave your vehicle for more than 7 days, please contact us, providing your name, the exact location of the vehicle, its make and registration number, your telephone number, and your departure and return dates. Municipal Police: Tel: 05 65 50 07 69

Please note that it takes 10 minutes on foot from the Les Carmes car park to the historic centre and 20–25 minutes to the station. A map of Figeac is available to download. Some hotels offer a parking service for guests staying at least one night. See the list.
