Terroir in the plate

It’s an initiative with meaning and taste! When producers, restaurateurs and accommodation providers (bed and breakfasts, campsites, vacation villages, etc.) from the Grand-Figeac region pool their talents, the result is menus with real flavor and 100% local quality! The project is part of the Programme Alimentaire Territorial supported by Grand-Figeac.

This year, discover the new“Le terroir dans l’assiette” initiative. Some thirty restaurants have signed up to partnerships with local producers, to promote our short supply chains and local specialities. Others will be joining the initiative over the course of the year. The professionals of the Grand-Figeac, Vallées du Lot et du Célé destination are keen to create links and a network that promotes the quality of local produce.

Each restaurateur taking part in Terroir dans l’assiette is committed to displaying on their menu theoriginof the ingredients used to create the dishes they serve. On the menu of the day, they reveal the path from farm to plate, and tell you which market gardeners, breeders and other producers they work with. It’s an opportunity to discover the culinary riches of our region!
