Le Terroir dans l’assiette – EN

It’s an initiative with meaning and taste! When the producers and restaurateurs of the Grand-Figeac pool their talents, the result is menus with real flavor and 100% local quality! The project is part of the Programme Alimentaire Territorial led by the Grand-Figeac.

This year, discover the new “Le terroir dans l’assiette” initiative. Some 30 restaurants have signed partnerships with local producers, to promote our circuits courts and local specialties. Others will be joining the scheme over the course of the year. The professionals of the Grand-Figeac, Vallées du Lot et du Célé destination are keen to create links and a network that promotes the quality of local products.

Each restaurateur, participating in Terroir dans l’assiette, is committed to displaying, on their menu, the origin of the ingredients used to concoct the dishes to be tasted. On the menu of the day, he revealsthe path from farm to plate and tells you which market gardeners, breeders and other producers he works with. It’s an opportunity to discover the culinary riches of our region!
