The barns are there, in the middle of this incredible greenery, isolated in the calm and yet 20 minutes from Figeac or Villefranche-de-Rouergue. Originally from the Nord and Aisne regions of France, Claudie and Daniel really fell in love with the region: “Aveyron is authentic, everything exudes authenticity and local charm”. There was the house, the horse barn and the barn for their B&B project. It took twelve years of work to complete their dream. Daniel is the master builder, Claudie the interior decorator, and 70% of the work was carried out by their own hands. “It was a very enriching experience, a real adventure for us as a couple. We can now see the culmination of our work: furnishing and decorating for the use of our guests”. Today, they are discovering the pleasure of hosting, “sharing everything, our life, with people we don’t know, that’s sensational! “. For the owners, this profession is nothing but a source of benefits and happiness. Receiving and offering their hearts to people is a real daily joy.

Our first big holiday, a full 8 days over the festive period. Stressful and extraordinary at the same time, but for the moment it’s the strongest moment, so atypical for the time of year. “What‘ s your favorite thing about the Lot: “Without a doubt, the authenticity: organic food, producers’ farms, exceptional! Nature, lots of livestock farming, little intensive agriculture. The people are simple and welcoming, no superficiality here, just the essentials. It’s beautiful! “

Les Granges de Murel offers 4 elegant and refined rooms:

Le rendez-vous de l’Amazone and its equestrian journey through time;
L’atelier des artistes, where Klimt seems to have invited himself for the night;
La Pomponnée de la cour and that crazy feeling of being in the royal bedroom;
La remise d’autrefois, as if you were sleeping in a high-end attic full of secrets.

All rooms are equipped with large 180cm beds or 2 90cm beds, a shower room, separate toilet and air conditioning. All bedding is natural and ORGANIC from BIOSENSE. A relaxation area is also available, with hammam, SPA, sauna, massage room, jet shower, bucket shower and fitness area.

A lifelong passion, Claudie and Daniel have renovated one of their two barns to enable them to breed Haflinger horses. “The green meadows are ideal. The horse is an extraordinary animal, for feeling good and learning to manage your emotions “. Although this is separate from the B&B business, they invite holidaymakers to meet the horses to discover, share and “find or rediscover a certain serenity”.
